EBSCO and Infotrieve Partner

EBSCO Information Services and Infotrieve report they have joined forces to enable mutual customers to combine their search, content access, rights management and document delivery in a single platform. Customers will be able to use Infotrieve’s Mobile Library as their e-content access and management platform while using the search and extensive metadata from EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS).

Mobile Library users will be able to search the extensive metadata available from EDS in addition to Infotrieve’s own catalog of more than 60 million citations. Content that is available to users through their company’s journal or database subscriptions and e-book holdings will be identified using Mobile Library’s rights management module. For content that is not available via an existing subscription, Mobile Library’s document delivery functionality will be used to instantly procure the content.

EBSCO says Discovery Service provides a fast, single search of journals, magazines, e-books and other content. EDS is also able to incorporate the results from some of the most valuable subject indexes combining full-text searching for completeness with subject indexing for precision and accuracy. Mobile Library offers secure, cloud-based access and management of enterprise e-content.
