E-mail with a mission
In its first OEM relationship, Kubi Software, developer of collaborative e-mail solutions, has formed an alliance with contact performance management vendor Determine Software. The agreement allows Determine to integrate Kubi technology into its new Collaborative Contract Negotiation Module, enabling users to collaborate on contract negotiations without leaving their familiar e-mail environment.
Kubi reports its software provides structured team spaces for individuals and groups to work together spontaneously and securely within the Microsoft Outlook or IBM Lotus Notes e-mail clients. The new Determined-branded, Kubi-powered offering is said to automatically create a collaborative workspace for each contract to be negotiated, pre-populates it with the appropriate documents and invites all relevant participants to take part. When the negotiation concludes, all the key information that has been created during this process--such as draft documents and threaded discussions--is automatically captured within the Determine contract-management application.
