E-commerce in concert

Mercado Software and YourAmigo announce they have joined forces in an effort to assist online businesses increase Web site profitability by maximizing the effectiveness of lead generation on the Web and active online selling.

YourAmigo says it drives prospective buyers to Web sites by ensuring the business, its products and relevant keywords show up at the top of Web search engine results. Once the customer is at the site, Mercado claims, its search, navigation and merchandising solution helps Web shoppers select products for purchase--and perhaps even buy a related item or multiple items in the process.

YourAmigo also explains its search engine optimization technology service, Spider Linker, discovers deep content and makes it accessible to the search engines by creating a "bridge" between them and the Web site to allow all content to be found and indexed. Additionally, Spider Linker automates the optimization of all content on a site so it ranks highly in search engines. Spider Linker also automatically updates and maintains new and changed pages on the site and continuously optimizes those pages.

Mercado says its Commerce Search & Navigation (CSN) platform helps online businesses convert more visitors into buyers. Further, the company says, CSN's site merchandising technology is designed to increase average order size and items per transaction.
