Documentum climbs up SAP's partner chain

Documentum (Pleasanton, CA) has been awarded Development Partner status from SAP

(Lester, PA). Documentum and SAP will jointly develop a Web-based interface between SAP's R/3 ERP solution and Documentum's RightSite technology. The deal will enable process manufacturing companies to smoothly and easily manage recipes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), batch records and other product information across the enterprise. Documentum was already a member of SAP's Complementary Software Program. "We are working closely with Documentum because they share our vision ­ to provide enterprise software that streamlines business processes," said Norbert Wenig, program director of process manufacturing at SAP AG. "Together we will be able to better address our customers' business needs," proclaimed Documentum president and CEO Jeffrey Miller.
