Documentum Announces Q4 '97 Financial Results
Documentum (Pleasanton, CA, Nasdaq: DCTM) reports Q4 '97 and YE '97 financial results. Q4 '97 revenue of $23.6 million represents a 64% increase from Q4 '96. Net income of $2.8 million compares with Q4 '96 net income of $1.7 million. For the year, Documentum reports revenue of $75.6 million and a net income of $7.4 million, up 67% and 64%, respectively. Revenue from licenses accounted for 73% of Q4 '97 revenue and 72% of revenue for the year. During the quarter Documentum completed a public offering of 2.1 million shares, netting over $62 million. Documentum also unveiled a new version of its EDMS document management product, released a version of its DocSolutions product for the retail market, and added a Windows IE interface to its EDMS product. Documentum was also named as a Delphi Mindshare Award winner by the Delphi Group (Boston), and as the #1 technology company of 1997 by KMWorld.
