Dataware's revenues down, earnings up

Dataware (Nasdaq: DWTI) posts Q2 '98 financial results. Revenue of $8.1 million compares with Q2 '97 revenue of $10.0 million. A net income of $214,000 compares with a Q2 '98 net loss of $1.4 million. This represents Dataware's third consecutive quarter with positive earnings. During the quarter Dataware signed or extended contracts for its Dataware II Knowledge Management Suite with Income Data Services, Pillsbury, Transport Research Laboratory, and the U.S. Navy. Dataware also won the Best of Show award at the
Delphi Group's International Knowledge Management Summit in June. Additionally, Dataware's Ledge Multimedia division signed new contracts with the National Fire Protection Agency, National Semiconductor Consortium, Oregon Tourism Board, The New England Life Insurance Company, Toronto Dominion Bank and the U.S. Postal Service.
