Vignette announces the integration of its Content Management Suites, Portal Suites and other capabilities into the Vignette Application Suites. The company says that. through three distinct suite packages, it offers organizations of all sizes out-of-the-box functionality to enable the assembly, management and delivery of information from across the enterprise to any Web audience.

Vignette reports its Application Suites provides applications and software services that combine, at graduated levels, content management, enterprise information integration, collaboration, portal management, business intelligence and business process management. All components can be managed through an integrated console, Vignette explains, reducing the complexity and costs of managing the enterprise’s Web applications.

Vignette says the suite’s capabilities include:

content services that offer content management capabilities based on a roles- based management system;

integration services that provide capabilities to integrate unstructured, structured and transactional information from inside or outside the enterprise, defined through a graphical integration workbench;

process services to allow organizations to adjust and extend predefined workflows to manage complex business processes as well as monitor the processes, based on an integrated graphical designer and Web-based consoles for day-to-day management;

portal services that enable companies to create and manage enterprise Web applications with a management console for Web sites, portals or other devices;

analysis services to allow organizations to measure, analyze and react to the content management and content interaction processes; and

collaboration services for providing a collaboration environment based on business processes to manage communication, dialogs and knowledge-sharing inside and outside an enterprise.
