Collaborative document management

iManage and Interwoven announce the general availability of their joint Collaborative Document Management (CDM) solution. The companies say the new integration provides enterprises with a comprehensive solution that addresses the overall collaborative document life cycle for the extended enterprise: from sharing among teams, to more structured document development and approval cycles, to fully automated and secure document publishing and dissemination.

Key benefits of the Interwoven CDM solution powered by iManage are said to include:

  • end-to-end solution--provides users with complete control over the creation, editing, sharing, approval, publishing and life cycle management of content among departments and across the enterprise;

  • ease of use--business users, not merely IT professionals, can easily create a virtual project workspace for both the remote and mobile work force in a matter of minutes, resulting in greater collaboration across the extended enterprise;

  • minimal training--employees, customers and partners can utilize the full capabilities of the solution with minimal training; and

  • scalability--based on open standards, the solution scales reliably to meet the needs of growing and large user bases.
