Cimage adds DM capabilities to AutoCAD

Document management capabilities have been added to AutoCAD from Cimage Enterprise Systems (Irvine, CA,

http://www.cimage.co.uk). The Document Manager for AutoCAD Version 3.1 was introduced at Kalthoff International in Orlando. The solution gives document management functionality for AutoDesk's (San Rafael, CA, http://www.autodesk.com) AutoCAD software package, used to modify engineering designs and drawings. DM for AutoCAD includes a "work list" feature that indicates which engineering drawings need work before being returned to the document repository. Engineers can abandon paper files and opening and closing several applications. Said Cimage VP David Shipman, "With DM for AutoCAD, engineers are able to view all items from within AutoCAD."
