Carefree collaboration

Claiming a 100% performance increase,SiteScape has upgraded its hosted collaboration service, WebWorkZone, a subscription-based service that allows users to create a Web-based work space.

SiteScape reports the new release features preconfigured tools, such as Help Desk, Resume Tracker and Sales Account Manager. These so-called “Specialized Solutions use a combination of workflow, pre-defined attribute fields and custom commands. They can be further customized to meet specific requirements.

WebWorkZone allows collaboration both inside and outside the firewall through any standard browser, SiteScape says, pemitting users to host online discussions; share and revise documents and files; chat; send quick messages; and schedule events using shared calendars. The service includes support for Oracle’s E-Business Portal, Plumtree’s Corporate Portal and Viador’s E-Portal Suite.

Among other WebWorkZone enhancements are:

  • improved team work spaces with team administration,

  • the ability to add WebWorkZone calendar entries to Microsoft Outlook,

  • multi-question polling, and

  • new AltaVista Search 3.0.

Pricing for WebWorkZone starts at $14.95 per month per user.
