Cambar and Ironside Combine for Online Ordering

An EC solution designed for distributors and manufacturers is the result of a deal between Ironside Technologies (Toronto) and Cambar Software (Charleston, SC). Cambar has integrated Ironside's Powered EC module with its Control I and Control II order management systems. The resulting product, Control II Net, will offer real-time response to Internet order entry and order management. Users will be able to look up products in an online database, view photos, check inventory, order products, and check on order status using a standard Web browser. "We are quite pleased with how smoothly it integrated with our existing solution," said Bob Esposito, Cambar's VP of Sales and Marketing. To Ironside VP Derek Smyth, the deal represents "another significant step" as the company strives to be the standard in EC order entry and order management systems.
