California "Super Agency" implements Intradoc!

IntraNet Solutions, Inc. today announced that the California County of Tulare's Health and Human Services (HHS) Agency is implementing the Intra.doc! Management System to ease the burden of creating, revising, and searching for documents on the agency's intranet. Over 1,800 agency employees will be able to access specific policy and procedure documentation and welfare and eligibility forms on the intranet.

The product of a recent conglomeration of over a dozen previously autonomous departments, this "super agency" inherited "thousands upon thousands of documents stored in many different ways and a lot of time was lost just looking for information,"said Doug Littlejohn, HHS user support systems manager.

"The main goal for implementing the Intra.doc! system was to reducethe amount of paperwork and make important information easily and quicklyaccessible for employees, from training calendars to corporate policystatements, project reports and forms," said Littlejohn. The agency is also implementing Intra.doc!'s workflow functionality to allow employees to work jointly on documents and keep track of revisions made by different contributors. In addition, constituents will soon be able to access an Intra.doc! site on the agency's extranet for information on job listings, clinic and center locations, and various state and local programs.
