Caere and Microtek Ink OEM Deal
Per a new agreement, Microtek Lab (Redondo Beach, CA) will bundle Caere's (Los Gatos, CA) OmniPage Limited Edition OCR software with its line of SOHO and professional scanners. The new OEM agreement extends a previous deal by two years. OnmiPage Limited Edition allows Microtek users to load images from a scanner or hard drive, and manipulate images with zoom, rotate, add zone, and other basic-level OCR capabilities. "Caere's OCR software allows our customers to get more value and versatility from their scanners," said Microtek president S.C. Lee.
