CSC to Provide Outsourcing IT Solutions for Australian Government Agency

Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC, El Segundo, CA) has signed an outsourcing contract with the New South Wales Department of Community Services in Australia. The deal, worth $55 million over five years with an option for another three years, covers a wide range of IT services, including wide-area network (WAN) implementation, which will connect 140 LANs connecting 3,000 desktops throughout the organization. Network services will be provided by a subcontractor. The agreement "will give us access to the latest information technology, which will beinvaluable as we work with CSC to revamp our client systems and develop new management information systems," said the department's assistant director of IT Tony Martusewicz.
