Business integration software from IBM

IBM has released an assortment of business integration software designed to help organizations incorporate the intelligent and collaborative capabilities of social media, mobile computing and cloud computing into enterprise applications.

At the core of the offerings is a new version of IBM WebSphere Application Server, which now gives greater flexibility for embedding deployments and is cloud-ready with built-in virtualization. IBM reports other components include:

  • Business Process Manager—combines new capabilities around social, collaboration, governance and mobile to improve the way work is accomplished;
  • Operational Decision Management—speeds and simplifies the way that organizations manage the business rules that control a wide range of decisions across business processes and applications; and
  • WebSphere Cast Iron Live Web Application Programming Interface (API) Services—allows companies to extend their services to support the community of developers building new social, mobile and cloud applications.
