Build it, and they’ll come

Claiming to reduce the time and cost of portal application development, Epicentric introduces Foundation Builder. Using wizard-based interfaces, non-technical users are said to be able to build personalized portal applications, thereby relieving the demand on IT resources and accelerating the development, deployment and adoption of strategic business processes within the portal.

Epicentric says Foundation Builder complements its portal software by integrating seamlessly with Epicentric Foundation Server to leverage the benefits of single sign-on, patented delegated administration, personalization, presentation, security and reusability.

The company says Foundation Builder includes:

Visual Application Builder--browser-based tools and wizards to guide users through the development process.

Application Generation Engine--a robust engine to aggregate and dynamically generates hundreds of applications.

Web Services Integration--the ability to build applications that leverage remote Web services to enhance application extensibility using standards such as SOAP, WSDL and UDDI.

Enterprise Application and Data Integration--the ability connection of portal applications to popular enterprise applications and data sources.

Interactive Reports--complex queries using simple wizards to retrieve information immediately in a custom report.
