BancTec licenses Mitek recognition systems

Banctec has licensed Mitek's Checkscript recognition technology for use in its Readfirst item and remittance processing system. The $1 million deal adds to Readfirst the capability to recognize the legal amount on checks and other financial documents. Readfirst already includes Mitek's Quickstrokes recognition engine to recognize the courtesy amount on financial documents.
