Baan Rolls On with Middle Market Contract
Adept Technology (San Jose) has purchased a manufacturing management software system from Baan Business Systems MidAmerica (Denver), a systems integration firm for Baan (Menlo Park, CA). BBS will install Baan's Manufacturing Information System, as will implement Baan's full suite of distribution, manufacturing, order processing, and financial management applications over the next six months. The system will run on HP 9000 servers with an Informix database. Adept was looking for a system that would implement quickly and expand as the company grows, according to Olga Ydrogo, Adept's director of information systems. They also wanted a local representative with strong knowledge of Baan's products. "Baan Business Systems'strong partnership with Baan made this an easy decision," said Ydrogo.
