An upgrade for RapidResponse

Webplan has released RapidResponse 7.3, which has been designed to assist manufacturers anticipate potential problems, instantly review multiple action alternatives and align operations.

The company explains that the software’s architecture connects directly to front- and back-end systems, supports a continuous flow of information across multiple sites and optimize as well as optimizes the value of existing infrastructure.

Webplan claims RapidResponse delivers three key technologies:

• Active Spreadsheets, which provides global access to live data feeds from ERP, PLM, WMS/TMS and other enterprise applications;

• Resolution Engine, which gives manufacturers rapid, iterative modeling capabilities that enable action team members throughout and beyond the enterprise to propose, detail and share action alternatives to drive effective resolution to continually changing situations; and

• Live Scorecard, which allows manufacturers to compare alternative "what-if" action plans based on real-time information.
