Allies market standards-based PDM software

Enterprise document management provider PC Docs (Burlington, MA,

http://www.pcdocs.com) and Agile Software (San Jose, http://www.agilesoft.com) have agreed to work together to provide information management solutions for manufacturing and engineering organizations. Using ODMA standards, the partners-based approach will provide manufacturing customers with an integrated solution to control, manage and view directly from their product data management (PDM) system thousands of documents that are key to the total product life cycle.

With the integration of Agile Configurator and Docs Open, customers will have a single-user interface from which to retrieve documents and data of any type from both repositories. The approach solves the time-consuming and costly problem of locating critical information needed to make expensive, high-risk product changes during both design and problem-solving stages of the product development process.
