Allegis' Sales Partner helps maximize sales channel business

Spearheading a new movement towards Partner Relationship Management (PRM) is Allegis Corporation, which is targeting sales channel partnerships with its new software release.

Sales Partner Version 1.0 lets sales and marketing departments deliver information and updates to their sales channel partners and monitor the effectiveness of those relationships, and tweak spending plans accordingly.

Allegis Sales Partner is initially aimed at high-tech manufacturers that sell their products through indirect channels. Pricing can run up to $250,000 depending on the scope of the installation.

Much as customer relationship management focuses on how to work with customers, PRM's focus is on making the most out of a company's relationships with its business partners, according to Allegis CEO Dennis Ryan.

"Partner Relationship Management (PRM) is a hot topic in business today," he said. "We specifically address how companies can leverage their partnerships to gain market share [and] create a virtual enterprise.
