Agile releases Anywhere 7.0

To allow global manufacturers to build and expand their supplier collaboration exchanges, Agile Software offers collaborative workflow enhancements, universal viewing and redlining, and configurable B2B security in the new release of Agile Anywhere. The software suite automates the distribution and synchronization of product content across the supply chain.

Agile officials say that as original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) outsource more and more of their product manufacturing, the ability to disseminate and track product change requests and approvals with many different external partners and suppliers becomes more crucial. Further, due to the nature of collaborative manufacturing, partners need to ensure security of their product content not only across the internet, but also based on product data types and roles of supply chain participants. Such flexibility enables B2B collaboration across a virtual manufacturing network.

Says Ron Coleman, director of Systems in Package business management at Amkor Technology, a large provider of contract microelectronics manufacturing solutions, "Agile Anywhere's collaborative workflow capabilities will enable us to automatically route product changes and additions for comment and approval, not only internally within Amkor, but, more importantly, with all of our customers and manufacturing and supply chain partners.”

He adds, "Because Agile’s workflow is easily and quickly configured, highly secure and specifically designed to be used across an outsourced manufacturing network, we will be able to collaborate in real time with all our partners and speed our customers' product to the marketplace."
