Intelligent Migration Solution Deployed for U.S. Federal Government

A cabinet-level department of the U.S. federal government has selected Concept Searching technologies to underpin its migration to Office 365 and SharePoint Online, the company announced.

Responsible for occupational safety, wage and hour standards, and unemployment insurance, the department has terabytes of content existing on unmanaged file shares, within a dedicated SharePoint site collection.

As part of the migration, file share content will be cleaned up, de-duped, tagged, and classified with metadata that will be automatically injected into document properties, using the conceptClassifier for File Shares application.

In line with governance policy, Content Searching says, content will then be automatically migrated to specific locations within SharePoint Online, using the conceptTaxonomyWorkflow component.

The deployment of the Concept Searching technologies is aimed at improving search, removing sensitive information, and ensuring compliance, readying the department to manage its documents of record in a future phase of the program.
