Coveo, a provider of search technology, and Avanade, a provider of business solutions and digital and cloud services on the Microsoft platform, have formed a global partnership, bringing together Coveo’s Intelligent Search expertise, platform, and applications with Avanade’s digital capabilities. The expanded collaboration was announced at Avanade’s TechSummit 2016.
With Coveo Intelligent Search applications, Avanade can help unify and personalize information from across multiple sources – including Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, or ERP systems – to reach their goals, such as improving digital experiences, driving more website conversions, increasing customer-self-service, and ensuring more proficient employees.
According to Mark Floisand, CMO of Coveo, the relationship between the companies has been building over time. It started when Coveo partnered with Avanade, as well as Sitecore, which provides a platform for customer experience management, on building a seamless way for companies to deploy high volume, global web properties that take advantage of the Coveo indexing and relevance capabilities for search as part of their implementations.
According to the companies, the expanded partnership is a natural fit since Coveo is the largest Sitecore technology partner, while Avanade is Sitecore’s first Global Platinum implementation partner.
As Avanade has moved to providing a Digital Marketing Managed Service, it is using that same technology under the hood to provide a hosted offering to their clients that includes interactive, content-based marketing, of which Coveo is a key part, said Floisand.
Built on the Sitecore Experience Platform, Avanade’s cloud-based Digital Marketing Managed Services includes Coveo Intelligent Search apps for Sitecore, enabling Sitecore customers to deliver the most relevant, contextual digital customer experiences.
Now available through Avanade, Coveo for Sitecore Cloud Pro Edition is a cloud-based intelligent search app with native integration to Sitecore. It includes the analytics-based machine-learning capabilities of Coveo Reveal, a self-learning search service to enable contextual relevance for every site visitor. According to Coveo, Reveal learns from user behavior, tunes relevance, suggests queries, and auto-completes search terms. Also included is Coveo Usage Analytics for automatic insights on what site visitors really want, and what engages them most.
In addition, Avanade’s Digital Workplace Managed Services can now include capabilities such as Coveo Intelligent Search Apps that help enterprises “upskill” employees with relevant information, wherever they are and no matter their role, said Floisand. To do this, Floisand said, Coveo is utilizing the same Coveo capabilities to connect employees in the context of their role or task - such as customer service or business analytics - to relevant data sources and business systems across silos and systems throughout the organizations.
And, said Floisand, because there is reach into an “eclectic, heterogeneous set of content and information,” not only can Coveo pull that information together in terms of what is most relevant for the users, it can also help organizations to identify resident experts, as evidenced by the documents they have authored or their responses to requests for information, which adds an important element to an organization’s knowledge management.
