Tacit and Synergistics to partner

Tacit Knowledge Systems, which developed KnowledgeMail, and portal provider Synergistics have formed a partnership that will give enterprises the ability to leverage all their knowledge in real time. Synergistics reports its Web-enabled portal provides an architecture that captures and facilitates the retention of knowledge, ideas and lessons learned. Its software allows people to connect with processes and to put content into context, enabling users to find the "single best answer" to critical business questions.

Tacit's KnowledgeMail family of products automatically discover and exchange all of a corporation's knowledge, providing real-time access to published and unpublished, explicit and tacit knowledge, while preserving user control and privacy.

Tacit says its approach allows enterprises to complement their portal and intranet strategies by allowing users to base decisions on a large amount of information that may have been unsuitable for publishing and unavailable on the intranet. With KnowledgeMail, employees are able to make peer-to-peer connections and share up-to-date knowledge, information and expertise with everyone across the enterprise.
