SPSS Introduces Data Access Tool

BusinessQuery allows SPSS customers to access predefined BusinessObjects environments to leverage existing corporate data from operational data stores, data warehouses or data marts. A semantic layer provides a business representation of the corporate data. "One of the traditional barriers to doing data analysis has been the difficulty of data access," said SPSS president and CEO Jack Noonan. "The easier it is for users to access data, the more data analysis they will do." BusinessQuery for SPSS, priced at $495, is now shipping in North America.
