RoweCom solidifies VC funding

Service provider RoweCom recently received an $8 million investment in venture capital from Highland Capital Partners, Crystal Internet Venture Fund and Working Ventures Canadian Fund. RoweCom provides Internet or intranet capabilities through its kStore and kLibrary services, which allow organizations to obtain periodical knowledge resources including subscriptions, books and other knowledge products. As an E-commerce provider, RoweCom offers its customers a cost break and an ease-of-use, according to the company. "We strongly believe that RoweCom has tremendous potential to revolutionize the way knowledge is obtained and shared throughout an organization," said Daniel J. Nova, general partner at Highland Capital Partners. "By solving the enormous problem of providing access to and managing intellectual capital, RoweCom will be the Amazon.com of the corporate information world."
