Recover the missing link

A solution for identifying missing documents in a system is being offered by Hyland Software (Rocky River, OH, http://www.onbase.com). The Exception Reporting Module ensures that during the conversion process, lost information can be retrieved. Citing a bread company as an example, Hyland explains that signed delivery receipts, once scanned into OnBase, can be compared with COLD invoices to find any missing data. OnBase Exception Reporting then generates a report identifying what documents are missing, a useful record for any environment requiring documents to be on file for regulatory or audit purposes.

At Knowledge Management Expo, Hyland will feature presentations on COLD, document imaging, OnBase architecture, workflow, CD-ROM publishing, Internet and client systems. The company will partner with Pioneer (Long Beach, CA, http://www.pioneerusa.com) at the show to demonstrate CD transfer and retrieval using OnBase and Pioneer systems.
