CYA Technologies has announced SmartRecovery for IBM FileNet P8, which, CYA claims, is the only discrete recovery solution that provides online recovery of structured information in minutes without having to shut down systems or take applications offline.

CYA says SmartRecovery is designed to protect enterprises against partial data loss due to malfeasance, metadata corruption, as well as and human and programmatic errors, which, the company says, collectively cause more than 80 percent of all data loss. When an incident of partial information loss is realized, CYA SmartRecovery locates and recovers content such as documents, records, and folders with its original, complex metadata (i.e. annotations, workflows and audit trails) back into the repository in its original state, ensuring complete object-level integrity.
