PrimaCis Introduces Electronic Patient Record System

An upgraded version of its electronic patient record system has been released by PrimaCis (Houston). The CliniCore Computerized Patient Medical Record (CPMR) System offers real time data capture of a patient's lifetime medical data, decision support, clinical guidelines and best practices and report generation. Features include patient photos, an electronic encounter sign-off, multiple patient identifiers, chart access logging security, a detailed audit trail, and a lab value graphing function. Other capabilities include workflow analysis, physician consultation, site specific configuration of screens and database elements, training and technical support for information links to other healthcare systems. The system uses client-server technology, a SQL database interface and rapid development tools for windows environments. "The most critical issue for our potential ambulatory CPMR clients is the implementation of a system that meets the needs of their medical practice," said James Coppa, PrimaCis VP of Development. "This new system will provide greater capabilities for medical and administrative efficiencies."
