Excalibur adds NetOwl Extractor to RetrievalWare

Excalibur has added Isoquest's NetOwl Extractor to the newest version of its search and retrieval software. RetrievalWare Version 6.6 will now include the ability to search for and identify proper names of people, places, organizations and other entities in volumes of unstructured text. Potential fields that will benefit from the added feature include editorial production houses and online content distribution providers. "Since much of the critical information in text documents is captured in proper names, the ability to identify these names and present concise summaries and highlighted references to end users is crucial," according to Excalibur president and CEO Pat Condo. "NetOwl Extractor is a mature, high-performance software component that significantly enhances the value of RetrievalWare 6.6." The new version of RetrievalWare will be available later this month.
