(San Jose, CA,

IBM (Armonk, NY,
http://www.ibm.com) by integrating document capture, monitor and graphics controller technologies with IBM's Digital Library 2.0. The solution is designed for environments such as publishing houses, libraries and universities, where the conversion of thousands of documents and photographs to digitized text, data and images is an integral aspect of operations.
"Cornerstone's InputAccel software provides the front-end solution required for successfully capturing volumes of books, manuscripts or other paper-based information that encompass a digital library," said Karen Shegda, senior analyst at Datapro Information Services Group (Delran, NJ, http://www.datapro.com). After digitizing paper documents with InputAccel, Digital Library users will employ Cornerstone monitors and graphics controllers to enhance image quality. Data types stored in the IBM Digital Library include text, bitonal and grayscale images, audio and video.
