Altris makes shore-side history

Altris Software (San Diego, http://www.altris.com) has signed a contract to install an enterprisewide document management system for the Marine Department of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Shore-side access to technical and maintenance documents stored on an NT server, including 500,000 A- to E-size engineering documents, will be enabled by an Altris Pro EDM system. In the future, each ship may have access and the ability to make additions to shore-side records.

According to Jay Tanna, president of Altris, the document management installation is the first of its kind in the cruise ship industry
