AIIM offers tech glimpses

Hyland Software (Cleveland, http://www.onbase.com

) chose AIIM to demonstrate its advanced COLD processor. The high-volume, 32-bit application is targeted to service bureaus as it boasts processing speeds of 600,000 pages per hour. Combined with Hyland's other OnBase modules, such as Document Imaging, CD-ROM Publishing, and the OnBase Web Server, the COLD processor can measure information in bytes, pages, documents and processing time.

Client-server, workflow and document management application developer, Universal Document Management Systems (UDMS, Cincinnati, http://www.udms.com) previewed a prototype of its Step2000 Process Manager 6.0. UDMS promises that the workflow development tool speeds creation and deployment of workflow and document management without coding. Step2000 works with virtually any databse, network or server platform.

Lanier Worldwide (Atlanta, http://www.lanier.com) announced a new component of its ONLINE suite called ONLINE/web. Lanier's present integrated suite of ONLINE products includes ONLINE/document, ONLINE/report and ONLINE/workflow. ONLINE/web allows users not connected to the same LAN or WAN to retrieve information from a company Web site or intranet.
