eGain has released eGain Cobrowse for smart phones and tablets, including the iPad, iPhone and Android-based devices. The company believes online form filling is an obstacle to customer acquisition and on-boarding processes, particularly in regulated sectors such as government, insurance, financial services and healthcare, resulting in 75 percent of Web forms being abandoned. eGain says Cobrowse allows businesses to help customers on iPad and other mobile devices complete Web forms in a convenient and secure manner. Further, it says, Cobrowse provides granular, role-based views and action control for privacy and compliance.
