SDL has released Tridion 2013, its Web content management solution designed to manage global online brands.
SDL says it enables the marketer to understand and create multi-channel digital experiences through enhancements to the Tridion user interface, advanced workflow functionality that is built to support multi-asset content marketing and an integration framework with out-of-the-box connectors that open up enterprise content repositories.
The company says the Tridion BluePrinting feature provides flexible content and processing modeling mechanisms, allowing customers to manage relationships between content items and sites even though hundreds of contributors are providing and changing content. Further, it reports, BluePrinting allows customers to have full control over their brands and languages across disparate sites by managing the differences between those sites.
Additionally, Tridion 2013 adds bundling functionality to the workflow engine, providing a seamless user experience when creating complex content marketing projects that consist of multiple digital assets. SDL also has introduced a new integration framework called External Content Libraries (ECL), which enables digital marketers to leverage content stored within external enterprise systems as if it were being managed within SDL Tridion.
