Philadelphia government orders Scan-Optics system
Scan-Optics has been awarded a $1.5 million order from the City of Philadelphia's Revenue Department for an image scanning system. The high-speed image scanning system will be used to process five million tax returns and payments that the city receives each year. The image-based tax processing system "will allow us to better serve the City of Philadelphia taxpayers," according to Thomas Kramer, Assistant Commissioner of the Revenue Department. The order "further enhances our position as a leader in providing tax processing solutions to local and state governments," offered Richard Goyette, Scan-Optics VP of sales and marketing.
