Oracle has released its Big Data Appliance, a hardware and software system including Cloudera distribution for Hadoop with Cloudera Manager and an open source distribution of R. The system further includes Oracle Linux, its NoSQL database and HotSpot Virtual Machine. Oracle has also released its Big Data Connectors, software that helps customers easily integrate data stored in Hadoop and Oracle NoSQL Database with Oracle Database 11g. Oracle adds that together with its Exadata Database Machine, Exalogic Elastic Cloud and Exalytics In-Memory Machine, the appliance and connectors provide everything customers need to acquire, organize and analyze Big Data within the context of all their enterprise data.
