Mobile, Office 365 and Social Media Archiving from Metalogix

Metalogix has launched Archive Manager 7.0, which has been designed to improve mobile access, Office 365 backup, security and social media compliance capabilities.

The company has also expanded its Archive Manager Suite with the new Social Media Module, a tool to monitor and mitigate brand damage caused by improper social media communication, enabling companies to adhere to regulatory compliance and audit requirements. The Social Media Module provides total social media archive management, including capture, archive, search and review features. All major social media platforms, collaboration tools, instant messaging platforms and Web search engines are fully supported, says Metalogix. Metalogix Archive Manager 7.0 adds seamless archiving from on-premises to Amazon S3, Azure, Rackspace, Hitachi Content Archive Platform, Amazon S3 GovCloud and Google Drive.

The company adds Archive Manager Suite gives an IT team the ability to archive content from Exchange, Files, SharePoint and Social Media sources into a central archive for improved compliance capabilities for e-discovery requests, data retention and change of custody compliance. Metalogix adds that Archive Manager 7.0 now features enhanced mobile support for anywhere access from any device transparently so users are more efficient regardless of where the data is archived.

Additionally, V. 7.0 allows mailboxes to be archived and backed up directly from Office 365, providing organizations with secure onsite archiving of sensitive data, multiple storage media management, e-discovery and social media management in conjunction with the Social Media Archiving Module. The module also provides real-time monitoring and archiving of social media, instant messaging (IM) and Web search engine data to ensure compliance, secure content and reduce social media violation risk.

Metalogix explains the social media module can filter, capture, index and archive employees’ corporate Twitter, Facebook, Yammer or LinkedIn communications. Archived content can be searched over, retrieved and reviewed from the main admin console, which allows administrators to manage social media usage, IM and e-mail communication.
