Microboards and Cedar Technologies Unveil Desktop CD-R Publisher

The "first and only" desktop CD-R publishing system has been introduced by Cedar Technologies (Edina, MN) and

Microboards Technology (Chanhassen, MN). The Desktop CD-R Publisher includes Cedar's Autoloader and CD Face label editing software, two CD holders, a 4x DC-recorder, Prassi (San Jose) CD-Rep premastering software and Robo Rep duplication software, printer alignment posters, power cable, printer control cable and a user's guide. A version bundled with Fargo Electronics' (Eden Prairie, MN) Signature CD Color Printer is also available. The system is designed for "small businesses, law offices, insurance agencies, bank departments, and government agencies," according to Microboards executive VP Mitch Ackmann. Pricing for the system is $5690 MSRP and $6985 MSRP with the Fargo printer.
