Managing XML

NeoCore introduces an XML information management product that is said to permit high-speed XML transaction processing while simultaneously supporting the extensibility of XML without requiring changes to the database.

Version 2.0 was released after successful beta testing of Version 1 by development partners. NeoCore says its software allows computers to process information symbolically, thereby reducing the computation required to search for data. The company claims its product results in lower total cost of ownership while removing the constraints of rigid definition that traditional databases require, as well as performance limitations in object-based stores.

One of NeoCore’s pilot partners, Crossmark Performance Group, used the software to create a knowledge management system. “It gives you the ability to develop applications on the fly,” says Performance Group president John Thompson. “So if one trading partner wants to do something different, they can, and that change doesn’t have to affect anyone else.”
