Lavastorm upgrades its analytics platform

Lavastorm Analytics has added to its platform new analytics library packs and a Workgroup Server edition of the Lavastorm Analytics Engine, which is designed to power continuous process improvement through ad hoc as well as discovery-based audit analytics.

Workgroup Server is said to extend the analytic benefits to business and BI teams at small-to-midsize organizations or those with fewer users than the Enterprise Server. The platform update also includes a modular approach to the existing Lavastorm Analytics Library, which is a collection of more than 100 pre-packaged components, and allows new analytic functions to be offered in packs independently of major platform updates.

Earlier this month, the company introduced Lavastorm Desktop Public, a free edition of the Lavastorm Desktop analytic software.
