Factiva introduces Select

Factiva has introduced Factiva Select, a suite of tools that permits the integration filtered XML news and business information into intranets and portals. XML format allows content to be delivered in specific languages to offices around the world via local language interfaces.

With the help of Factiva Intelligent Indexing, a categorization scheme applying industry, region, news topic and company codes, the news is pulled to a customer’s corporate Web server where it can be stored and processed for up to 90 days, the company explains.

Users can also universally index and integrate Factiva content with internal content, third-party content or portal software. The company adds that a team of technical and editorial experts is available on a contract basis to customers that prefer custom implementations of Factiva products.
