Courseware Source unveils Lotus-based KM Suite

Courseware Source (Boston) has unveiled the Network Delivered Knowledge Version 2.0 knowledge management application suite for Lotus

(Cambridge, MA) Notes and Domino. The system is designed to facilitate the development and delivery of corporate knowledge to Notes Version 4.6 and Web browser clients. NDK includes six application templates for building knowledge repositories: online courses, knowledgebases (policies, procedures, white papers, presentations, technical notes), events calendars, job aids, electronic books and an electronic newsletter. Features of NDK include template-based content development, document versioning and assembly, task management, automatic document link generation, and access logging down to the document level. Knowbot agent technology allows users of Notes/Domino to search across several databases, generating categorized reports containing links to matching documents. "We believe that knowledge is exponentially more useful and efficient if it is consciously managed by people who are truly knowledgeable," said company founder Kent Kurchak. "NDK gives knowledge workers the tools they need to capture, manage, and deliver that knowledge to those who need it." Pricing for the Network Delivered Knowledge Version 2.0 is on a per-server basis, although site licensing and an open source code version are also available. The product is also available for download from the company's website.
