Big data from Pentaho and DataStax

Pentaho and DataStax have formed a strategic alliance to deliver native integration between Pentaho Kettle and Cassandra. DataStax is said to be the first NoSQL database provider to integrate all features and components of Pentaho Kettle, integrating Cassandra into relational databases, analytic databases, Hadoop and other NoSQL databases.

Pentaho and DataStax claim they will offer the first Cassandra-based big data analytics solution that combines the highly scalable, low-latency performance of Cassandra with Kettle’s visual interface for data extraction, transformation and load, as well as integrated reporting, visualization and interactive analysis capabilities.
