Endeca unveils new solutions

This article appears in the issue October 2005 [Volume 14, Issue 9]

Endeca announces new information retrieval applications and services for public sector organizations. Built on the company's Guided Navigation platform, Endeca says Government Search and Analysis Solutions are designed to help government agencies quickly deploy retrieval capabilities for public-facing Web sites and internal information management applications.

The company explains that Guided Navigation technology combines search and browse into a single solution and imitates human searching behavior by showing users all possible paths for exploration, how concepts and content relate to one another and how to best define and enhance a search through both structured and unstructured content repositories.

Endeca claims its capabilities expose connections and patterns in data and prompt analysts to ask new questions they wouldn't otherwise think of using in legacy search systems.
