Celeste Merryman supports the Knowledge Management and Collaboration Technologies Office at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory via Computer Sciences Corporation, as a knowledge management leader. Celeste joined NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the summer of 2006 and has accomplished tough jobs like developing and leading a social networking pilot for NASA and leading the redesign of InsideNASA, NASA's Intranet.  Her latest projects include developing advanced technology projects in social networking and Web 2.0 development.  She also supports the user experience and development of the information system for the NASA Lessons Learned Program, as well as establishing measurement and analysis of communities of practice. 


Celeste Merryman has supported NASA since 1999 in various roles including web infrastructure design, database and system design, outreach, customer support, and quality management. Prior to coming to NASA, Celeste held information technology, usability, and data analysis roles at Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. and Telecare Corporation, a behavioral healthcare company.


Celeste Merryman holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from California State University, Fresno, in psychology. Her graduate studies and research focused on the areas of cognitive psychology and the auditory and visual imagery influences in memory recall. She is a recipient of several NASA Ames Research Center Honor Awards for team and individual contributions, including “Contractor of the Year, 2005.”
