Alex is the Innovation and Social Media Manager for Helix Commerce, and is considered to be one of Toronto's top digital influencers. He specializes in ROI driven community relations, user engagement, social media marketing, content marketing and relationship transfer. He is a founding member of the Location Based Marketing Association and regularly conducts sell out seminars, meetups, conferences and camps throughout Canada, America and Australia. Alex also works in technology investment, connecting entrepreneurs with high growth potential to technology based investors .

Alex holds a degree in Marketing, Human Resources & International studies from the University of Wollongong, Australia.

Prior to working as an independent consultant, Alex founded and exited several successful technology based companies. In each he specialized in marketing, promotions and strategy. He has also co-founded charitable organizations, trouble-shooted national retail chains, sat on council boards and headed marketing organizations in management, training and sales based roles. He has previously been awarded the Shoalhaven Young Citizen of the Year title and been nominated for YAA Young Business Person of the Year, among others.
