Kyle Strand is a Senior Knowledge Management Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank. Since joining the IDB in 2007, he has worked to make knowledge open and accessible and to create opportunities for that knowledge to be reused within the organization and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. He led the development of the IDB’s open knowledge repository, and currently coordinates the IDB's open source initiative, Code for Development. In addition, he leads projects that use natural language processing and artificial intelligence approaches for better knowledge management. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Kyle holds degrees from the George Washington University and the University of Michigan.
