Mary Jane Carangal-San Jose is a Knowledge Management Specialist in the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB' s) Department of Communications and Knowledge Management. Jane has been engaged in knowledge management (KM) since 2013, with a focus on knowledge partnerships, strengthening the formulation of country knowledge plans, supporting audits on KM, and contributing to the development of and monitoring of the ADB’s Knowledge Management Action Plan for 2021–2025. She has also worked on measuring the outcomes of ADB’s knowledge initiatives. Jane joined ADB in 2004 as an economics officer, where she co-authored working papers and conducted economic analyses and impact evaluations of development projects. Prior to her tenure at ADB, she held roles in various private companies and multinational corporations in the Philippines, where she applied foundational KM practices such as recordkeeping and database organization to support informed business decision-making. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of the Philippines and completed a master ' s in advanced marketing from the University of New South Wales under an AUSAID scholarship.
